DR. RHETT POLKA, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Dr. Rhett Polka is the creator of the One80 System® — the only patented clinical evaluation and treatment method in outpatient rehabilitation.
For over 20 years, he has been on a mission to address what’s caused so many clinicians to burn out.
A former high school athlete, collegiate football player and competitive powerlifter, Dr. Polka’s journey began in 1988 when a football injury introduced him to physical therapy. That experience, led to his journey from an exercise physiology degree (B.S., University of Northern Colorado, 1996) and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (Slippery Rock University, 2000).
However, after earning his CSCS in 2000 and OCS in 2001, and experiencing first hand the limitations of the broken medical model, he quickly became disillusioned with conventional physical therapy. He watched the profession chase symptoms, rely on diagnosis driven protocols and deliver substandard results. Instead of accepting the status quo, Dr. Polka spent years re-reading his notes, combing through text books, reading research and taking every CEU course he could find, searching for a better way.
In 2005, after finally putting together the basic format of the One80 System, he took a bold step and opened his first cash-pay clinic in Loveland, Colorado. What started as a 1,200 sq ft practice grew into a 5,000 sq ft facility with multiple locations. His results stood out so dramatically that clinicians from across the country began reaching out to learn his methods.
In 2017, Dr. Polka started teaching the One80 System live. By 2019, he transitioned to the current hybrid model and has since trained hundreds of physical therapists, chiropractors, athletic trainers and other professionals across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Today, the One80 System has become a complete clinical identity replacement for frustrated clinicians.
